TOOLS

In order to know what You have, and maybe what You can get, there are a number of useful tool out there. Some are provided by manufacturers like AMD and some are commercial, like SiSoft Sandra.

I will put the tools I know of and have used below, with some intelligent comment...(?)
Want me to add YOUR favourite tool? Gimme a hint!

AMD CPU INFO Go to AMD and get it! Link is to page, not file, may be broken
Not very reliable, keeps imposing Duron info on my T-bred. May be due to BIOS or something else. Dont know. Flashy though and looks good. Great to capture and put on web.
AMD CPU ID Go to AMD and get it! Link is to page, not file, may be broken
Dont ask! I do not know what the big difference is, to me, they give same info but the latter is of course more extensive with lots of HEX-jidderisch I dont know about anyway...
ASUS PC PROBE Go to ASUS and get it! Link is to page, not file, may be broken
I have never actually used this much, but it gives you some basics like temeperatures, fan speeds and stuff.
AIDA32 Go to AIDA and get it! Link is to page, not file, may be broken
Very nice little tool that gives You lots of RELEVANT information about the system. Nice screenshot feature of CPU info. And accurate...!
SISOFT SANDRA Go to SiSoft and get it! Link is to page, not file, may be broken
Great utility for all purposes, sort of big brother of AIDA32. If You want really extensive information on Your system, use it. Lacks good info on what its own messages really mean.
